A Medicare Supplement (Medigap) insurance plan, sold by private companies, can help pay some of the health care costs that Original Medicare doesn't cover, like co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles.
Medicare Advantage (Part C)
is a health insurance plan offered by private companies that contract with Medicare. These plans provide an alternative to Original Medicare (Parts A and B) and often include additional benefits like vision, dental, and hearing coverage. Medicare Advantage plans typically have their own network of doctors and hospitals.
** MAJOR CHANGES for 2025 **
Medicare Part D is the federal government's prescription drug program that covers both brand-name and generic prescription drugs at participating pharmacies in your area.
Hospital indemnity insurance offers a fixed payment for covered hospital expenses, complementing regular health insurance.
Accident Insurance provides financial protection by offering a lump-sum payment in the event of covered injuries or accidents, helping individuals manage medical costs and other expenses resulting from unforeseen mishaps.
You may have great coverage in the U.S., but most of those benefits don’t extend overseas. If you need medical attention when you’re traveling, it could be difficult to find the right care—and you may have no coverage and face unexpected medical bills. Why take the chance?
"To Love what you do and feel that it matters:
How could anything be more fun?"
Insurance runs through my veins.
Growing up in Glastonbury, Connecticut outside of Hartford, which is known as the Insurance Capital of the World, instilled in me an early understanding of the industry. in 2018, I embarked on my second career in the insurance industry as an independent insurance agent, my first being as an IT Programmer in the 80's. This change was sparked by a personal experience: when my mother had a stroke.
It made me realize the significant influence
insurance can have on older adults.
My passion lies in educating and supporting individuals as they navigate healthcare decisions. I pride myself on listening attentively to my clients, thoroughly exploring their options and crafting tailored healthcare plans that meet their specific needs.
I attended the University of Dayton (Go Flyers) and in 1993 settled in Richmond after residing in both Connecticut and New York. Actively engaging with the RVA Community is the cornerstone of my life; I volunteer as a VFMA Tour Guide, Atria Theater Usher and I have been a dedicated Girl Scout and Leader for over 30 years. As a proud mother, I recently supported my daughter, a University of Arizona Law School graduate, in her cross-country move back to the east coast.
In my leisure time, I indulge in reading - consuming over 60 books annually and practicing yoga. I also find solance in my backyard Spanish garden, sipping tea while perusing the morning paper and observing the playful antics of my cats in their catatio.
